The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has announced the closure and detour of the Cedar Creek Road bridge over Cedar Creek in Lexington County for necessary repairs. The closure will commence on December 1, with an expected reopening date of December 19.

During this period, a detour route will be in place to guide traffic around the closed section. A map detailing the detour is available for drivers to plan their routes accordingly. SCDOT emphasizes that Cedar Creek Road will remain accessible to local traffic, except at the bridge site itself.

Drivers are urged by SCDOT to reduce speed and remain vigilant for signs and construction crews while navigating through the area.
