U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham from South Carolina expressed his support following Qatar Airways’ decision to purchase up to 210 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and 777x aircraft. This significant order is set to be assembled in Charleston, South Carolina.

Graham highlighted the importance of this development, stating, “This is great news for South Carolina and Boeing. The operative phrase is ‘largest ever.’ Today’s announcement marks Boeing’s largest ever widebody order, its largest 787 order and Qatar Airways’ largest order ever.”

He emphasized that the investment by Qatar Airways would provide long-term work for the Charleston plant, underscoring the quality of work produced at the facility. “The Boeing workforce in South Carolina has a lot to be proud of – they consistently work hard and provide great airplanes,” Graham said.

Additionally, he acknowledged Qatar as an ally and credited efforts by the Trump Administration for facilitating this deal. Graham described it as a transformative moment for both Boeing and South Carolina.
