A Pickens County man has been arrested on charges related to the sexual exploitation of minors, according to South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson. Brandon David Lee King, 29, of Easley, was taken into custody by Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation also involved members of the Attorney General’s Office and the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, both part of the state’s ICAC Task Force.
The arrest followed a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), which identified King as a suspect. Investigators allege that King distributed files containing child sexual abuse material.
King was arrested on October 2, 2025. He faces four counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor under South Carolina law (§16-15-405). Each count is a felony punishable by up to ten years in prison.
The Attorney General’s Office will prosecute the case.
Attorney General Wilson stated: “All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.”
The press release notes that child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is now used as a more accurate term than “child pornography,” which can imply consent by the victim. The term CSAM reflects the abusive nature of these crimes and is being adopted globally for this reason.
