South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced on March 27 the arrest of Jacob Dylan Huff, 28, of North Charleston, South Carolina, on six charges related to the sexual exploitation of minors. The arrest was made by Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigators from the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from multiple law enforcement agencies.
The case began after a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led investigators to Huff. Authorities said that Huff possessed files containing child sexual abuse material. He was taken into custody on March 25 and faces six counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, which is a felony punishable by up to ten years in prison for each count. The Attorney General’s Office will prosecute the case.
Attorney General Wilson said, “All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.”
