Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

We are excited to announce a new charity golf tournament at Grande Dunes Resort Club. This event is being run by, and will support, our YMCA Hurricanes Swim Team and Learn to Swim Programs here in Horry and Georgetown counties.

Net proceeds will help low-income children with swim team fees, travel costs, and in the purchase and installation of a scoreboard at the Georgetown County YMCA for swim meets.
