Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

The Connected Commerce Council is pleased to host Governor Henry McMaster for a webinar to discuss the importance of technology platforms and tools for empowering South Carolina businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. South Carolina small business voices and leaders will participate in a discussion on how digital platforms and tools helped small businesses succeed during the coronavirus pandemic and continue to stimulate the state economy. The Columbia Chamber of Commerce, the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, and the President and CEO of the Council on Competitiveness will highlight the various digital resources and programs available to small businesses locally and statewide.

The significance of digital tools amidst the pandemic has been underscored by a recent study showing that one in three small business owners claim that they would have had to close all or part of their business without digital tools.
