Mega Metal, a copper wire manufacturer based in Turkey, has announced its decision to establish its first South Carolina operation in Fairfield County. The company is investing $34 million into the project, which is expected to create 135 new jobs.
The facility will be located at 364 Blue Granite Parkway in Ridgeway and will span 91,000 square feet. It will focus on manufacturing superfine electrolytic oxygen-free (EOF) copper wire. Once fully operational, the facility aims to produce 55 million pounds of wire annually, with operations set to commence in September 2025.
