McMaster and Evette’s busy schedules feature key events across South Carolina

Gov. Henry McMaster, Lt. Gov. Pamela S. Evette, and First Lady Peggy McMaster have a full schedule for the week of May 12, 2025.

On Monday, May 12 at 10:30 AM, Lt. Gov. Evette attended the Augusta Oncology Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting at the Augusta Oncology Multispecialty Clinic in North Augusta.

Lt. Gov. Evette is scheduled to be the keynote speaker on Tuesday, May 13 at noon for the 4th Annual South Coast Cyber Summit held at Tabby Place in Beaufort.

Both Gov. McMaster and Lt. Gov. Evette will participate in the South Carolina State Guard’s Celebration of the Olympia Armory Grand Opening on Wednesday, May 14 at 2:00 PM in Columbia.

On Thursday, May 15 at 11:00 AM, Gov. McMaster will join local and state officials for the annual Hurricane Preparedness media briefing at the Charleston Emergency Operations Center in North Charleston.

Lt. Gov. Evette is set to address the Rotary Club of Greenville on Friday, May 16 at noon at the Poinsett Club in Greenville.

The previous week saw various engagements by Gov. McMaster starting with his attendance on Monday, May 5 at a swearing-in ceremony for W.R. “Cody” Simpson III as State Executive Director of the South Carolina Farmer Service Agency in Columbia.

His activities continued with several policy meetings and a speech at Myrtle Beach Classic’s opening ceremony on Wednesday, May 7 hosted by Visit Myrtle Beach along with ONEflight International and South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism.

Thursday included economic development meetings followed by office hours held in his Statehouse office and another speaking engagement titled “E is for Edgar: Conversation and Barbecue with Walter!” event later that evening in Columbia.

On Friday, May 9 he provided a keynote address during Joseph F. Rice School of Law Excellence in Policing and Public Safety Program Cohort 2 Graduation also located within Columbia.
