McCormick School District issued the following announcement on July 19.

Thank you to all who attended our district-wide registration day last week.  If you were unable to attend, please stop by the front office of your child’s school to complete the necessary paperwork for your child to be registered.  We are unable to place students in classes without this paperwork.  

As a reminder, the first day of school is this coming Thursday, July 22nd.

Joint department program announces incentives for South Carolina residents to earn secondary diploma.

The South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) and the South Carolina Department of Education’s Office of Adult Education (SCDE) created a partnership program called the General Education Development (GED) Inventive Program. The program offers residents the chance to earn their GED free of charge and receive a one time $500 payment if they pass the exam.
