“Master Artists Concert Series Performance at the Horry County Museum”
 
The Horry County Museum and Varna International will host a free concert featuring artists from The Master Artists Concert Series, part of Muzika! The Grand Strand Music Festival, on Saturday, July 23rd at 7:30 PM.

The public is invited to join us for an evening of the sumptuous strains of Canteloube, Saint-Saens, de Falla and more by master artists Yura Choi, Mezzo Soprano, Michael Emery, Violin, John Wickey, Harp, and Rita Dunn, Harp.

Kalin and Sharon Tchonev started Varna International twenty years ago with the goal to bring high quality choral training to Bulgarian school teachers.

Their company has since grown into a globally recognized festival organizer that specializes in large-scale performances and music training academies for conductors, singers, and instrumentalists throughout Europe, Israel, and the United States. Varna International’s upcoming event, Muzika! The Grand Strand Music Festival will take place throughout the Grand Strand from July 1st through August 3rd. Joint department program announces incentives for South Carolina residents to earn secondary diploma.

The South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) and the South Carolina Department of Education’s Office of Adult Education (SCDE) created a partnership program called the General Education Development (GED) Inventive Program. The program offers residents the chance to earn their GED free of charge and receive a one time $500 payment if they pass the exam.

Gov. Henry McMaster (R-SC) today signed into a law a bill that would create an Educational Scholarship Trust Fund to allow some South Carolina parents “to enroll their children in the school of their choice.”
