CHARLESTON, S.C. — A federal grand jury in Florence has indicted Brandon Brill, 26, from Berkeley County on multiple charges related to child sexual abuse material and the coercion and enticement of minors.
According to the indictment, Brill was employed as a nanny and childcare provider in South Carolina. From June 2023 until his arrest in February 2025 on various state charges, he allegedly used his position to exploit at least six minor victims. It is claimed that Brill invited children under his care or living nearby to his home for video games and sleepovers. Additionally, he reportedly leveraged his role to access more minors. If convicted, Brill could face a life sentence.
This case falls under Project Safe Childhood, an initiative by the U.S. Department of Justice launched in May 2006 aimed at addressing child sexual exploitation and abuse nationwide. The program involves U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section working with federal, state, and local resources to locate offenders and rescue victims. More information can be found at http://www.justice.gov/psc.
The investigation was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations along with Mount Pleasant Police Department and Moncks Corner Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Amy Bower is handling the prosecution.
It is important to note that all charges are accusations at this stage; defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
