The South Carolina Department of Transportation announced the swearing in of Linious Martin (Marty) Sauls IV to its Commission. Sauls, from Jasper County, was appointed by Governor McMaster and was recently unanimously confirmed by the South Carolina Senate and House of Representatives.

Sauls has previously served in several leadership roles, including Chairman of Jasper County Council, a current member and previous Chairman of the Jasper County Chamber of Commerce, and past Chairman of the Southern Carolina Alliance Executive Board. He has also served on the Coastal Carolina Hospital Board of Directors, the Savannah River Maritime Commission Board, Bluffton Jasper Volunteers in Medicine, and co-chaired the American Heart Association of the Lowcountry.

“I am honored to serve on the South Carolina Department of Transportation Commission representing the people of the 6th Congressional District. SCDOT maintains a large highway network, and I look forward to helping lead the vision for transportation in South Carolina connecting people to jobs, education, healthcare and visits with family as they travel our beautiful state,” Sauls said.

Sauls will represent the 6th Congressional District. He lives in Ridgeland, South Carolina with his wife Anissa and their three children.
