U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham from South Carolina announced his support for Kash Patel’s confirmation as the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The Senate confirmed Patel by a narrow vote of 51-49.

Senator Graham expressed his satisfaction with the decision, stating, “I am extremely pleased to have cast my vote to confirm Kash Patel as the new director of the FBI.” He highlighted Patel’s background as a federal defense attorney and prosecutor, emphasizing his involvement in counter-terrorism practice and policy.

Graham also noted Patel’s role in uncovering what he referred to as “the Russian hoax against President Trump.” He voiced confidence in Patel’s ability to lead the FBI, saying, “Kash is the right man to clean up the FBI to restore Americans’ confidence and trust that the FBI is not a political organization, it is a law enforcement organization.”

The senator concluded with assurance that “the men and women of the FBI will be in good hands with Kash Patel.”
