The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2018 in Kiawah Island rose by $42,500 while total sales decreased by 24.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2018, there were 66 homes sold, with a median sale price of $847,500 – a 5.3% increase over the $805,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 87 homes sold in Kiawah Island in the first half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Kiawah Island for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $8,132, approximately 1% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2018.
