The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2017 in Kiawah Island rose by $178,750 while total sales decreased by 3.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2017, there were 87 homes sold, with a median sale price of $805,000 – a 28.5% increase over the $626,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 90 homes sold in Kiawah Island in the first half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Kiawah Island for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $8,132, approximately 1% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2017.
