JROTC Meet To Kick-Off Military Appreciation Days In Myrtle Beach This Weekend

Everyone is invited to attend and watch local Junior ROTC programs compete in the annual Horry County High School Drill Meet this Saturday, May 7. The event begins at 9:00 a.m. and takes place in the Myrtle Beach Pelicans’ Stadium Parking Lot, 1251 21st Avenue North. The competition serves as the official kickoff to Myrtle Beach’s Military Appreciation Days during the month of May. Students from at 

least six high schools will compete in Squad, Armed Squad, Platoon, Armed Platoon, Freshman Unarmed Squad and Color Guard, along with individual Armed and Unarmed Knockout competitions. Local U.S. Army Recruiting personnel serve as judges. Following the drill meet, join us for the Military Family Members’ Social at the Pelicans’ Stadium.
