The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2018 in James Island rose by $10,600 while total sales decreased by 26.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2018, there were 94 homes sold, with a median sale price of $288,600 – a 3.8% increase over the $278,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 128 homes sold in James Island in the first half of 2017.

The median sales tax in James Island for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,253, approximately 0.4% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2018.
