U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham from South Carolina issued a statement following the U.S. Senate’s confirmation of former U.S. Senator Marco Rubio as Secretary of State.

“Marco Rubio was unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate because he is highly qualified, widely respected and is the perfect choice by President Trump to be our next Secretary of State,” said Graham.

Graham further emphasized Rubio’s global knowledge and reputation, stating, “Marco knows the world, and he is respected by our allies and feared by our enemies. He will bring needed change to the Department of State.”
