Governor’s weekly schedule includes speeches and ceremonies across South Carolina

Gov. Henry McMaster, Lt. Gov. Pamela S. Evette, and First Lady Peggy McMaster have announced their schedules for the week of May 5, 2025.

On Wednesday, May 7 at 9:00 AM, Lt. Gov. Evette will participate in a press conference at the Middle Tyger Community Childcare Center located at the Middle Tyger Community Center in Lyman, South Carolina.

Later that day at 4:15 PM, both Gov. McMaster and Lt. Gov. Evette will attend the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic Opening Ceremony with business and local community leaders at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach.

On Thursday, May 8 at 10:30 AM, Lt. Gov. Evette is scheduled to speak at a water safety event titled “The World’s Largest Rubber Duck Makes a Splash” in Myrtle Beach’s Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Park.

Following this event on Thursday at noon, she will attend the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic held again at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club.

Gov. McMaster will deliver a keynote speech on Friday, May 9 at 2:00 PM during the Joseph F. Rice School of Law Excellence in Policing and Public Safety Program Cohort 2 Graduation ceremony in Columbia.

In previous engagements from April 28 to May 3, Gov. McMaster attended various events including Bryan Stirling’s swearing-in as U.S Attorney for South Carolina on April 28 and served as commencement speaker for Francis Marion University’s Spring Commencement on May 3.
