Governor Henry McMaster is set to chair the inaugural meeting of President Donald J. Trump’s Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC) on Wednesday, July 2, at 10:00 AM. Governor McMaster was appointed as the chair by President Trump in April.

The meeting will be available for live streaming. Media personnel interested in accessing the live stream should reach out to Alexander Jacobs at HSAC@hq.dhs.gov.

HSAC, established on March 19, 2002, utilizes the expertise and connections of its members to provide independent advice on homeland security operations to the Secretary of Homeland Security. The council aims to support President Trump’s agenda with input from experts across public and private sectors. More information about HSAC can be found at DHS.gov/Homeland-Security-Advisory-Council.

The agenda for Wednesday’s meeting includes swearing-in ceremonies for new members, speeches from Governor McMaster and senior Department of Homeland Security officials, and discussions on the council’s objectives and assignments.
