Gov. Henry McMaster, Lt. Gov. Pamela S. Evette, and First Lady Peggy McMaster have released their public schedules for the week of August 18, 2025.

On Wednesday, August 20 at 11:00 AM, Governor McMaster will attend the funeral service for Trooper First Class Dennis D. Ricks at Shandon Baptist Church in Columbia. The service is open to media coverage, with additional guidelines provided by the South Carolina Department of Public Safety.

On Thursday, August 21 at 10:00 AM, Governor McMaster will participate in a flag raising and ribbon cutting event with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources to celebrate its new headquarters in West Columbia.

Later that day at 11:30 AM, Lt. Gov. Evette is scheduled to speak at the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce Bi-Monthly Luncheon at the Omar Shrine Convention Center in Mount Pleasant. In the evening at 5:30 PM, she will address the Spartanburg Area Citadel Club at the Country Club of Spartanburg.

The previous week’s schedule for Governor McMaster included a series of meetings and events from August 11 through August 17. Highlights included presenting the Order of the Palmetto to Dr. Susan Elkins and John Folsom; receiving The Guardian of Forestry Award from the South Carolina Forestry Association; speaking at the grand opening of MUSC Health Jean and Hugh K. Leatherman Behavioral Care Pavilion in Florence; participating in the I-95 Widening Groundbreaking ceremony; touring Francis Beidler Forest; and holding several policy meetings and calls with members of Congress and other officials.
