The schedules detail public events and official duties carried out by the state’s top officials. Such releases provide transparency about government activities and allow the public to stay informed about leadership priorities.

On Monday, April 6 at 1:00 PM, Governor McMaster attended the I-95 over Lake Marion Bridge Replacement Groundbreaking Ceremony hosted by the South Carolina Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration in Santee. On Tuesday at 2:00 PM, Lieutenant Governor Evette is scheduled to speak at a Children’s Charities of the Midlands press conference at the South Carolina Statehouse in Columbia. Wednesday morning will see both McMaster and Evette attend the 64th South Carolina Prayer Breakfast at Columbia Convention Center.

A review of last week’s schedule shows that on March 30, McMaster spoke at an environmental council meeting in Savannah before returning to his office for meetings throughout the day. He also oversaw state fiscal matters during a meeting of the State Fiscal Accountability Authority on March 31 and met with federal officials including Brandon Beach, Treasurer of the United States. The governor’s agenda included meetings with state legislators as well as participation in events such as Month of the Military Child Proclamation.

McMaster has prioritized supporting South Carolinians through economic development initiatives, public safety efforts, education improvements and heritage preservation according to his official website. Serving as chief executive since January 24, 2017 after being elected as South Carolina’s 117th governor—and subsequently re-elected in both 2018 and 2022—McMaster oversees governance across all areas of state policy according to his official website. His office is located at the State House on Gervais Street in Columbia according to his official website.
