Governor Henry McMaster, Lieutenant Governor Pamela S. Evette, and First Lady Peggy McMaster released their public schedules for the week of April 6, according to an announcement on April 6.

The publication of these schedules provides transparency about the official duties and engagements of South Carolina’s top officials. The information helps residents stay informed about government activities and events across the state.

On Monday, April 6 at 1:00 PM, Governor McMaster attended the I-95 over Lake Marion Bridge Replacement Groundbreaking Ceremony hosted by the South Carolina Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration in Santee. On Tuesday, April 7 at 2:00 PM, Lieutenant Governor Evette is scheduled to speak at a press conference organized by Children’s Charities of the Midlands at the South Carolina Statehouse in Columbia. On Wednesday, April 8 at 7:30 AM, both Governor McMaster and Lieutenant Governor Evette will attend the sixty-fourth South Carolina Prayer Breakfast at the Columbia Convention Center.

The previous week’s schedule included various meetings such as office hours with constituents and agency representatives; participation in events like the Environmental Council of States Spring Meeting in Savannah; oversight of state fiscal authority meetings; recognition ceremonies including presenting an Honorary Sandlapper Award to Dr. Markus Söder from Bavaria; economic development discussions; policy sessions; a funeral service for Reverend John Emory Holler Jr.; and attendance at a mayors’ reception.

According to the official website, Henry McMaster leads as governor of South Carolina and serves its residents while operating within state government administration. The Office of the Governor engages in conservation efforts, historical preservation initiatives, community programs, issuing proclamations that foster economic development and support education as well as workforce training. It also works to enhance public safety, recognize health care contributions, promote environmental conservation efforts and preserve cultural heritage while building partnerships with local governments and organizations to advance state initiatives.
