Governor Henry McMaster has announced the confirmation of Tom Mullikin as the new director of the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. In a statement, Governor McMaster expressed confidence in Mullikin’s capabilities.

“The Department of Natural Resources has a strong and exceptional leader in Tom Mullikin,” stated Governor McMaster. He highlighted Mullikin’s “expertise in environmental law and policy” and his leadership experience as chairman of the S.C. Floodwater Commission. According to McMaster, these qualifications make Mullikin “uniquely qualified for this role.”

Governor McMaster also expressed anticipation for future collaboration with Mullikin, emphasizing ongoing efforts to protect and preserve natural resources.
