Gov. Henry McMaster, Lt. Gov. Pamela S. Evette, and First Lady Peggy McMaster have a busy schedule for the week of January 20, 2025.

On Monday, January 20, Governor McMaster and First Lady Peggy McMaster attended the inauguration of Donald J. Trump as the 47th President and JD Vance as the 50th Vice President at the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C.

Later in the week, on Friday, January 24 at 10:30 AM, Lt. Gov. Evette is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech at the South Carolina Highway Patrol Commencement at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy in Columbia. Additionally, she will participate in an award presentation by the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services later that day at 2:30 PM at the State House.

Last week’s schedule for Governor McMaster included several meetings and events from January 13 to January 19. On Monday, he had an economic development call followed by office hours and unveiled his budget recommendations for Fiscal Year 2025-2026.

Throughout Tuesday and Wednesday, Governor McMaster participated in various meetings including state agency meetings and policy discussions while maintaining office hours. He also held a press event honoring BMW on Wednesday afternoon.

On Thursday, he met with a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives before making two economic development calls.

Friday’s agenda included delivering a keynote address at the South Carolina Beach Advocates Annual meeting and speaking at the South Carolina Bar Convention where he presented Jean Toal with an award.

Over the weekend on Sunday evening, Governor McMaster addressed attendees at the Palmetto Presidential Inaugural Ball held in Washington D.C., before participating in events related to both National Governors Association and Republican Governors Association during his time there on Monday prior to attending another inaugural ball that evening.
