Gov. Henry McMaster, Lt. Gov. Pamela S. Evette, and First Lady Peggy McMaster have a number of public events scheduled for the week of July 28, 2025.

On Monday, July 28, at 9:00 AM, Lt. Gov. Evette participated in the SC7 Expedition Hike at the Edisto River Learning Center on Edisto Island.

On Tuesday, July 29, at 4:00 PM, Lt. Gov. Evette is scheduled to attend the dedication ceremony for the new Nursing and Health Sciences Institute at Horry-Georgetown Technical College in Myrtle Beach.

Gov. McMaster will join NASCAR, the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, and other officials on Wednesday, July 30 at 10:30 AM for an event focused on the upcoming Cook Out Southern 500 and Sober or Slammer 200 races at Darlington Raceway in Greenville.

On Thursday, July 31 at 11:00 AM, Gov. McMaster will hold a ceremonial bill signing for H. 3276, known as the Hands Free Driving Act, at the Governor’s Office in Columbia.

The previous week’s schedule included an economic development mission trip to Germany led by Gov. McMaster and organized by the South Carolina Department of Commerce. The governor’s itinerary included business meetings and visits to several major companies such as Siemens, Fraunhofer, Arthrex Manufacturing Inc., Bosch, Mercedes Benz, Schaeffler, and BMW in Munich and Stuttgart. He also delivered a keynote address at the German-American Chamber of Commerce Business Conference in Bavaria and spoke at the celebration marking fifty years since the establishment of South Carolina’s European office.

These activities are part of ongoing efforts by state leadership to support economic development initiatives and promote public safety measures such as hands-free driving laws.
