Gov. Henry McMaster, Lt. Gov. Pamela S. Evette, and First Lady Peggy McMaster have a full schedule for the week of December 9, 2024.

On Monday, December 9, Governor McMaster addressed the Coordinating Council for Workforce Development at the C. Lem Harper Building in Columbia at 11:00 AM. At noon, First Lady Peggy McMaster participated in a remembrance ceremony with Wreaths Across America to honor South Carolina veterans at the State House Grounds. Later that day, at 5:30 PM, both Governor and First Lady hosted the annual Christmas Open House at the Governor’s Mansion.

On Tuesday, December 10, at 2:00 PM, Governor McMaster will preside over a meeting of the State Fiscal Accountability Authority in Columbia.

A significant event is scheduled for Thursday, December 12. At 11:00 AM, Governor McMaster will join Six Flags and local York County officials for a press conference concerning Exit 90 and an announcement about the SCDOT Commission at Carowinds Theme Park.

Lt. Gov. Evette has commitments later in the week as well. On Friday, December 13 at 6:30 PM, she will be the Commencement Speaker at Francis Marion University’s Fall commencement in Florence. The following day, Saturday, December 14 at 11:00 AM, she will take part in the Travelers Rest Christmas Parade.

The prior week’s schedule for Governor McMaster included various meetings with members of the South Carolina Senate and House of Representatives on Monday, December 2. He also spoke at a legislative delegation meeting in Greenville that evening.

Throughout Tuesday and Wednesday of that week, he held office hours and attended policy meetings at his office in Columbia’s State House. Notable events included attending a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday morning and participating in “A Tree for the Fallen” Ceremony later that day.

Governor McMaster concluded his activities with a call to members of the South Carolina Congressional delegation on Wednesday afternoon and spoke at an annual meeting of the South Carolina Farm Bureau Federation on Thursday evening.
