Gov. Henry McMaster, Lt. Gov. Pamela S. Evette, and First Lady Peggy McMaster have released their public schedules for the week of August 25, 2025.
On Tuesday, August 26 at 2:00 PM, Governor McMaster will oversee a State Fiscal Accountability Authority meeting in Room 252 of the Edgar Brown Building in Columbia.
Wednesday’s schedule includes two events. At 10:00 AM, Lt. Gov. Evette will attend the groundbreaking for The Greer Sports and Events Center near S. Buncombe Road and Buddy Avenue in Greer. At 10:30 AM, Governor McMaster will be joined by state and local leaders to provide an update on South Carolina’s School Resource Officer Program at Tyger River Elementary School in Duncan.
Lt. Gov. Evette is also scheduled to attend the Cook Out Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway on Sunday, August 31.
Last week’s schedule for Governor McMaster included an economic development call on Monday afternoon and office hours throughout the week at the Statehouse in Columbia.
On Tuesday, August 19, he met with members of both chambers of the South Carolina General Assembly.
Wednesday’s activities included meeting with the family of Trooper First Class Dennis D. Ricks and presenting flags on behalf of the state at Shandon Baptist Church before attending Trooper Ricks’ funeral service later that morning.
The governor also held several agency meetings and policy discussions during Wednesday afternoon before presenting Dr. Anne Matthews with the Order of the Palmetto.
Thursday saw Governor McMaster join officials from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources for a flag raising and ribbon cutting celebrating its new headquarters in West Columbia. He participated in additional agency meetings as well as a webinar with Dr. Mehmet Oz from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services that day.
Later Thursday afternoon, he had an interview with representatives from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Friday included another agency meeting while Saturday featured a call with U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
