Gov. Henry McMaster, Lt. Gov. Pamela S. Evette, and First Lady Peggy McMaster have a busy schedule for the week of June 2, 2025.
On Monday, June 2, at 10:00 AM, Governor McMaster joined the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and other state and local partners for a press conference at the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office in North Charleston.
Later that day at 11:00 AM, Lt. Gov. Evette spoke at the Zero Tolerance for Litter Campaign Kickoff Press Conference on the North Steps of the Statehouse in Columbia. At noon, she addressed attendees at the Crown Your Calling Celebration Press Conference held at South Carolina ETV and Public Radio in Columbia. In the afternoon at 1:30 PM, she attended the SC Career Kids’ Camp at The Center for Advanced Technical Studies in Chapin.
On Thursday, June 5, Governor McMaster will participate in the Governor’s Annual Hurricane Tabletop Exercise followed by a press conference at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. The press conference is scheduled to begin around 4:00 PM.
From Friday through Sunday (June 6-8), Lt. Gov. Evette will attend the Carolina Country Music Festival in Myrtle Beach.
In contrast to this upcoming schedule, last week saw Governor McMaster engaged in various activities from May 27 to June 1.
On Wednesday, May 28, he was present in his office for regular hours and participated in a ceremonial bill signing for H. 3430 concerning Liquor Liability and Tort Reform. He also met with members of both houses of the South Carolina legislature.
Thursday’s agenda included another ceremonial bill signing for H. 3058 related to Disclosure of intimate images and several agency meetings throughout the day.
Friday featured additional agency meetings and policy discussions.
Governor McMaster’s weekend included attending Major General Van McCarty’s retirement ceremony on Saturday morning where he presented him with the Order of the Palmetto award. He also attended a Change of Command ceremony welcoming Major General Robin B. Stilwell as South Carolina’s new Adjutant General later that morning.
The week concluded with policy and agency calls on Sunday afternoon.
