The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2017 in Folly Beach rose by $107,050 while total sales decreased by 17.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2017, there were 58 homes sold, with a median sale price of $607,050 – a 21.4% increase over the $500,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 70 homes sold in Folly Beach in the first half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Folly Beach for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $4,233, approximately 0.7% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2017.
