Short for electronic mail, e-mail or email is information stored on a computer that is exchanged between two users or a group of individuals over telecommunications network.  Learn how to set up a free Yahoo or Google email account and send, receive, reply to and forward messages containing text, files, images, or other attachments email messages. Open and save attachments, organize messages with folders, create a contact list and learn basic E-mail etiquette. Completion of mouse, computer, keyboard and internet basics is required prior to class attendance.

Joint department program announces incentives for South Carolina residents to earn secondary diploma.

The South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) and the South Carolina Department of Education’s Office of Adult Education (SCDE) created a partnership program called the General Education Development (GED) Inventive Program. The program offers residents the chance to earn their GED free of charge and receive a one time $500 payment if they pass the exam.

Gov. Henry McMaster (R-SC) today signed into a law a bill that would create an Educational Scholarship Trust Fund to allow some South Carolina parents “to enroll their children in the school of their choice.”
