The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2019 in Edisto Island rose by $193,250 while total sales remained unchanged with seven homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2019, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $475,000 – a 68.6% increase over the $281,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Edisto Island in the fourth quarter of 2018, as well.

The median sales tax in Edisto Island for 2019 was $1,789. In 2018, the median sales tax was $1,754. This marks an increase of 2.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.4%.
