The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will commence construction on December 15 to replace the culvert on Fountain Inn Road (SC 418) over Arnold Creek in Spartanburg County. This project will necessitate the closure of Fountain Inn Road to traffic. To assist drivers, a signed detour has been established, with signs placed throughout the area to guide them around the closure.

Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and consider alternative routes where possible. The construction is projected to be completed by fall 2026. SCDOT urges drivers to reduce speed and remain attentive to signs and crews when navigating near the work zone.
