City of Myrtle Beach issued the following announcement on September 17.

Hey, Myrtle Beach!  Make plans to celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday, October 5.  Stay tuned for details, but this year’s event will be celebrated in the neighborhoods.  Each Neighborhood Watch group has a chance to plan a get-together, picnic, cook-out, party or other event, sometime between 3:00 and 8:00 p.m. on that day.   We’ll provide a list of activities and locations once the neighborhoods finalize their plans.
