City of Myrtle Beach issued the following announcement on November 30.

Heads up! A free “Community Day” for Myrtle Beach’s “Winter Wonderland at the Beach” is set for 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 7. For one day only, locals from Horry and Georgetown Counties get in to the lights show and ice skating rink free with a valid ID! Celebrate the holiday season with neighbors, see the lights and skate on the real ice rink. And, be sure to enjoy the complimentary cookies and cocoa, courtesy of Bojangles.
