Charleston police request public assistance in identifying car theft suspect in West Ashley

The Charleston Police Department asked for the public’s help on April 24 in identifying a suspect believed to be connected to several car thefts that took place in the West Ashley area during April. Authorities said the individual also used a credit card stolen from one of the vehicles involved.

Police are urging anyone with information about these incidents or the identity of the suspect to contact them at 843-720-2422 and request to speak with the on-duty Central Detective. Tips can also be submitted anonymously online at www.charleston-sc.gov/tips.
