The College of Charleston equestrian team lost to top-seeded Lynchburg, 6-3, on April 18 in the NCEA National Championship at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida.
The match was part of Charleston’s ongoing participation in national championship competition since joining the National Collegiate Equestrian Association. The event saw strong performances from several Charleston riders despite the team’s overall loss.
Samantha Aisenberg scored an 82.7 in fences, earning a point for the Cougars. Kenda Murray and Lainie Rubin contributed points for Charleston in flat with scores of 85.7 and 81.7 respectively.
Charleston has now competed for a national title during both seasons since becoming part of the NCEA.
