The median sale price of a home sold in September 2017 in Charleston rose by $1,000 while total sales decreased by 37.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In September 2017, there were 182 homes sold, with a median sale price of $256,000 – a 0.4% increase over the $255,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 290 homes sold in Charleston in September 2016.

The median sales tax in Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,430, approximately 0.6% of the median home sale price for September 2017.
