The median sale price of a home sold in July 2017 in Charleston rose by $35,000 while total sales decreased by 32.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In July 2017, there were 217 homes sold, with a median sale price of $310,000 – a 12.7% increase over the $275,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 320 homes sold in Charleston in July 2016.

The median sales tax in Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,430, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for July 2017.
