The median sale price of a home sold in August 2018 in Charleston rose by $55,000 while total sales increased by 10.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2018, there were 174 homes sold, with a median sale price of $320,000 – a 20.8% increase over the $265,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 157 homes sold in Charleston in August 2017.

The median sales tax in Charleston for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,430, approximately 0.4% of the median home sale price for August 2018.
