Anderson University issued the following announcement on October 20.

Paragon Hotel Company has provided a $25,000 gift to Anderson University in support of the College of Health Professions’ work with AnMed Health.

Anderson University is celebrating the generosity of Paragon Hotel Company for the its generous gift of $25,000 to benefit the College of Health Professions. 

Senior Vice President for Development and Presidential Affairs and AnMed Health CEO William Kenley accepted the gift from Mitesh Patel, president of Paragon Hotel Company at a grand opening celebration for Hotel2Suites by Hilton’s new facility in downtown Anderson, the company’s newest property and the now the largest hotel in the city. 

Owned by Main at Market, LLC and managed by Paragon Hotel Company, Home2 Suites by Hilton Anderson Downtown, offers all-suite accommodations with fully-equipped kitchens and modular furniture, providing guests the flexibility to customize their suite to their style and preference.

The South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) and the South Carolina Department of Education’s Office of Adult Education (SCDE) created a partnership program called the General Education Development (GED) Inventive Program. The program offers residents the chance to earn their GED free of charge and receive a one time $500 payment if they pass the exam.

Gov. Henry McMaster (R-SC) today signed into a law a bill that would create an Educational Scholarship Trust Fund to allow some South Carolina parents “to enroll their children in the school of their choice.”
