Alpha Sheet Metal Works has announced the expansion of its operations in Charleston County, South Carolina. The company is investing $3.7 million to enlarge its facility and create 14 new jobs.

The metal fabricator, with over 80 years of experience, specializes in products made from steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. The expansion involves adding 24,000 square feet to their existing facility at 9525 Hamburg Road in Ladson to enhance CNC machining, assembly, and large-format fabrication capabilities.

President Joseph W. Schady expressed enthusiasm about the expansion: “As a family-owned business, we’re thrilled to expand our operations in Charleston County. This community has been incredibly supportive, and we’re excited to continue serving the local businesses and industries here.”

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster remarked on the company’s decision: “Alpha Sheet Metal Works’ decision to expand in Charleston County demonstrates the continued success of its partnership with South Carolina.”

Secretary of Commerce Harry M. Lightsey III congratulated Alpha Sheet Metal Works: “It is always exciting when a company like Alpha Sheet Metal Works that has deep roots in our state decides to further invest in South Carolina.”

Charleston County Council Chairman Rev. Dr. Kylon Jerome Middleton highlighted the significance of this development for local manufacturing: “The expansion of Alpha Sheet Metal Works not only strengthens our advanced manufacturing sector but also highlights the fertile ground Charleston County provides for sustained growth.”
