Aerowerks brings first US facility to Cherokee County, creating 52 jobs

Aerowerks, a company specializing in manufacturing custom material handling systems for the food service industry, has announced its decision to open its first U.S. operation in Cherokee County, South Carolina. The Canadian-based company, which has over 40 years of experience and operates a production facility in Ontario, Canada, will invest $10 million into this new facility. This investment is expected to create 52 new jobs.

The site, located at 330 Huntington Road in Gaffney, will design, manufacture, and assemble systems such as return conveyers, tray accumulators, and dish machines. The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits for the project, signaling strong support for the new venture.

Secretary of Commerce Harry M.
