(COLUMBIA, S.C.) - South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Paul David Gedosch, 20, of Pelzer, S.C., on three charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor. The arrest was made by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Attorney General's Office.

According to investigators, Gedosch produced child sexual abuse material. Gedosch, who was out on bond from a prior arrest on related charges in 2023, now faces three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, first degree, each punishable by up to 20 years imprisonment.

Attorney General Wilson emphasized the presumption of innocence in the case, stating, "All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law."

Additionally, Wilson highlighted the importance of language in describing such crimes, stating, "* Child sexual abuse material, or CSAM, is a more accurate reflection of the material involved in these heinous and abusive crimes. 'Pornography' can imply the child was a consenting participant."

This case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General's Office, continuing the legal process for Gedosch.
