Gov. Henry McMaster, Lt. Gov. Pamela S. Evette, and First Lady Peggy McMaster have a busy schedule lined up for the week of April 29, 2024.

On Tuesday, April 30, Gov. McMaster will be attending Small Business Day at the State House in Columbia, S.C., followed by the 2024 South Carolina Governor's Opioid & Addiction Summit Awards Luncheon at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

Lt. Gov. Evette will also be active on Wednesday, May 1, as she joins the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce for a press conference at the Charleston Area Convention Center in North Charleston.

Looking back at Gov. McMaster's previous week, on Tuesday, April 23, he had a ceremonial signing for the Working Agricultural Lands Preservation Act and provided the Keynote Address at the South Carolina Hospitality Conference. The rest of the week was filled with various meetings, including economic development, policy, and constituent meetings.

Thursday, April 25, saw Gov. McMaster speaking at the Teacher of the Year 2024 Luncheon and Press Conference at the Governor’s Mansion before attending the National Lieutenant Governors Association’s Spring Business Meeting at Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet.

The week concluded with Gov. McMaster attending the 50th Anniversary of the Riverbanks Zoo and Garden on Friday, April 26, and speaking at the funeral service for Bishop Frederick Calhoun James at Bethel AME Church on Saturday, April 27.
