Delta Children’s Products to Establish First South Carolina Operations in Orangeburg County

Delta Children’s Products has announced its decision to select Orangeburg County for the establishment of its first South Carolina operations, with a $33.1 million investment that will create 123 new jobs. The company, known for designing, manufacturing, and selling innovative children’s furnishings, will be constructing a 400,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility on Millenium Drive in Orangeburg. Operations are expected to be online by 2026.

In response to the news, Delta Children’s Products expressed their enthusiasm for the project, stating, “We at Delta Children are excited about this new project in South Carolina. This will help us bring manufacturing jobs back to the USA and allow our company to grow into new categories. We appreciate how the state and county have come together to make this possible.”

Governor Henry McMaster congratulated Delta Children on their new manufacturing operation, emphasizing the significance of their investment in the state and the job opportunities it will create. Secretary of Commerce Harry M. Lightsey III highlighted the continuous attraction of major investments in South Carolina's manufacturing industry, underscoring the importance of Delta Children's $33.1 million investment in Orangeburg County.

Orangeburg County Council Chairman Johnnie Wright welcomed Delta Children, recognizing the positive impact the partnership will have on the community's economic development. Central SC Alliance Chairman Matthew Shaffer also lauded the decision, stating, "Delta Children’s Products’ decision to launch its inaugural South Carolina operations in Orangeburg County speaks volumes about our region’s ongoing prosperity."

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits for the project and awarded a $300,000 Rural Infrastructure Fund grant to Orangeburg County to support building improvements. Delta Children’s selection of Orangeburg County reinforces the area's appeal as a business destination and signifies a commitment to fostering economic growth and prosperity for residents.
