U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) has announced his opposition to the national security supplemental package in the Senate. In a statement, Senator Graham expressed his concerns about the lack of provisions for border security.

"I will be voting no on cloture on the national security supplemental package minus the border security provisions because I believe we have not done all we can to secure our southern border," Senator Graham stated.

He also shared his ideas for improving the border provisions and emphasized the importance of securing America's own border before assisting other countries.

"I am insistent that we continue our efforts to secure our own border before we turn to helping other countries. I enthusiastically support Ukraine, Taiwan, and Israel, but as I have been saying for months now, we must protect America first," Senator Graham said.

Senator Graham highlighted the significance of taking the time to properly address the issue and not rushing the process.

"I believe there is much more we can do in this regard and I insist that we try. We should not rush this process because Senators want to go on a break – it is too important," he emphasized.

The national security supplemental package is currently being debated in the Senate, and Senator Graham's opposition to the bill without border security provisions adds to the ongoing discussions surrounding the legislation.
